SAVE THE
MOZINO
FOREST

The Mission of Save The Mozino Forest is to protect the last open space of Upper Darby and preserve the valuable natural resources of the 15 acre Mozino Tract.

About The Forest

The Mozino tract is a 15 acre forested parcel in Upper Darby Township. It is the LAST remaining forested parcel in the township. It contains Collen Brook, a tributary to Darby Creek that flows through the forest. A developer is proposing to cut down the forest and build a housing development and retail services. We can't let this happen!

Did you know?

Beyond producing oxygen, a single mature tree can absorb more than 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year while simultaneously trapping dangerous airborne particulate matter (like dust, ash, and smoke) on its leaves and bark.

By acting as giant, natural air filters, urban trees directly reduce respiratory illnesses in communities and help cool cities by up to 10°F through shade and evaporation.
